The Great Endeavour Rally is one of Australia’s longest and most successful charity motoring events. And for one lucky person, it ignited his passion to drive on Australia’s great open roads.
Matt, who at the time was 30, spent a lot of time dreaming about being the select-few chosen to go on the Great Endeavour Rally with more than two-hundred people passionate about raising much needed funds for people with disability.
“I kept on applying to be a part of the rally each year, and every time I just missed out,” Matt said.
But his perseverance paid off when he was among three Endeavour Foundation employees selected to go on the grand off-road adventure.
Each year Endeavour Foundation takes expressions of interests from clients and employees to take part in the Great Endeavour Rally as a passenger. It’s a time-honoured tradition that leaves participants with lasting memories for years to come.
Unsurprisingly, Matt, like many of our Endeavour Foundation Lotteries supporters, is a true car lover.
From start to finish Matt was just blown away with the comradery and banter that the rally family had to offer.
He lapped up being around so many fellow “rev heads”, outstanding cars, and breathtaking scenery only seen by a handful of people.
In fact, he loved it so much that he revealed a new dream – to one day re-join the rally, but this time as a driver.
Making this happen for Matt is a major goal for Endeavour Foundation this year, one that we are proud to say that we have achieved with the support of our community!
We can't wait to see Matt enjoying the open road alongside the rest of the rally family and ticking another goal off his list before tying the knot with his bride-to-be.
