At Home With Choices

All lottery funds go towards our At Home With Choices program. Your support builds modern accessible houses so that people with a disability can have more choice about where and with whom they live.

Through the At Home With Choices project we can offer people a chance to be more independent, develop their living skills and exercise more control over their lives.

The people who have moved in have told us how much they enjoy sharing a house with friends and all of the new choices that are available.

Smart homes unlock opportunities for people with a disability in Rockhampton

Suzy, Kathy and Judy are good friends and love living in their new home in Rockhampton, which allows them to have greater independence.

The trio’s new home was built as part of our self-funded At Home With Choices project, which provides modern supported accommodation options for people with a disability.

Suzy, Kathy and Judy are enjoying living in their own space.

“I like my new house. I’ve been waiting a long time,” Kathy said.

While Suzy says she’s “happy because Judy and Kathy work well with me.”

Judy likes “living in a new area and cooking for ourselves.”

Each home has been specially outfitted with the latest assistive living technology, which can be tailored to the needs of each person. Additional bedrooms have also been built for support staff.

All lottery funds go towards our At Home With Choices program. Thank you for your support!

At Home with Friends

Darrin Simpson’s busy life is full of hobbies and good friends.

“I like living here with the guys,” Darrin says. “When I come home we talk about the day, and I catch up with the guys next door.”

Darrin lives independently in a shared house south west of Brisbane, built as part of our At Home With Choices program. This delivers modern accessible houses in the community for people with a disability.

Our lotteries raise funds for At Home With Choices, which is why your support is so important to us.

Living with greater choice

Endeavour Foundation recognises that living an independent life is important to everybody.

Alison Willgoss couldn’t agree more. Alison moved into one of Endeavour Foundation’s At Home With Choices houses, and shares with two other women.

“This (the house) has changed my life,” Alison said.

“I am able to be more independent and stay home on my own and have quiet time to spend writing my children stories – I enjoy the silence.

“My lounge room walls have my framed cross stitch work hanging alongside my housemate’s artwork.”

Funds raised by Endeavour Foundation Lotteries go towards At Home with Choices, which is laying the foundations for people with a disability to have more choice, control, independence, and inclusion in the local community.
